Cadillac
Invitational tournaments are generally scramble style competitions.
The scramble format enables golfers of varying levels of skill
to participate in a competitive yet enjoyable tournament. Amateur
golfers will play in teams of four. Each team must have a combined
USGA Handicap Index of at least 43.0. Only one player per team
may have a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or below. This is the
format used at the Cadillac Invitational National Finals. The
scramble format and USGA Handicap Index requirements make the
Cadillac Invitational much more than just another amateur golf
tournament: it is a pleasurable social event for participants
and family members, as well as a benefit for a necessary and
worthwhile cause.
In this scramble format, each team member tees off and the best
drive is selected. All players then play from that spot. The
process continues until the hole is completed. Each team must
use at least three drives from each player during the course
of the round. The team with the lowest gross score wins.
You can confirm the tournament format for your specific local
Cadillac Invitational event by contacting the person listed
on the Tournament Schedule page.
